What do the Onyx sounds mean?

Onyx makes a variety sounds to let you know what state it's in.

Here are all the sounds you might hear, and what they mean:

Power On ( )

This is the first tone you'll hear when you turn on your Onyx.

Power Off ( )

This is the tone you'll hear when you turn off your Onyx.

Volume ( )

When you press the volume rocker on the right side of Onyx, you'll hear this tone with ascending (volume up) or descending (volume down) intensity.

"Go" [Speak Now] ( )

When you're online in a group and press the face of your Onyx, you'll hear this tone to indicate it's ready for you to start speaking.

"No Go" [Unable to Transmit] ( )

If you're not logged into the Orion app and press the face of your Onyx, you'll hear this tone to indicate that Onyx isn't ready for you to start speaking; if you're online and in a group and still hear this tone, this could indicate a connectivity issue between your Onyx and your smartphone, or an issue with the Orion app.

Incoming [Someone is Speaking] ( )

When you're online in a group and someone else whose online in that group presses the face of their Onyx, you'll hear this tone to indicate that they're speaking.

Low Battery ( )

When your Onyx' battery level reaches 20%, you'll hear this tone to indicate low battery, in addition to receiving a notification on your smartphone; when it reaches 10%, you'll hear this tone again, with an additional notification on your smartphone. You'll need to charge your Onyx soon. The good news is that you can continue using Onyx while it's charging.
